  32. few mint leaves chopped
  33. 1/2 cup raisins

  35. saffron threads
  36. 2 tablespoons rose water
  37. 3 slices pineapples, canned, optional

  5. Step 3: To prepare rice mix, wash and drain rice
  6. Fry onion, cardamom, cinnamon sticks and cloves with vegetable oil. Then add 3 cups of water to them.
  7. When water starts boiling add the chicken broth cube. When it melts add the rice. Cover and keep on low heat for 15 minutes until the rice is well cooked. Remove and set aside.
  8. Step 4: For the decoration, fry onion and keep aside.
  9. Fry cashew nuts and keep aside.
  10. Fry raisins and keep aside.
  11. Combine coriander and mint, and keep aside.
  12. Soak saffron in rose water for 15 minutes and keep aside.
  13. Cut pineapple into medium pieces and keep aside.
  14. Step 5: To serve,pour a layer of rice on the serving plate. Add on top a layer of the chicken mixture. Then scatter the fried cashews, raisins and onion over chicken pieces.
  15. On top sprinkle cut pineapple slices (optional), coriander and mint.
  16. Add another layer of rice on top of all of this. And on top of this rice layer scatter again fried cashews, raisins and onion slices. Sprinkle the diluted saffron water on the Beryani dish.
